Distressed Properties (Short Sales, Foreclosures, And Lender REO's)
This course familiarizes real estate agents with the procedures used in the sale and disposition of distressed properties. It reveals opportunities for business with sellers, buyers, and lenders, and provides a clear understanding of agents' responsibilities. The job description and required paperwork changes according to whom the agent is representing.
In certain markets, homeowners are unable to make their mortgage payments in a timely manner. Foreclosures have increased and lenders who now own these properties may want to salvage as much value as they can. Buyers are also excited about the prospect of buying from a truly motivated seller.
